FISHING IN ALASKA

Alaska is a bounty of more than 3,000 rivers, more than 3 millon lakes and some 34,000 miles of coastal shoreline, becoming one of Americas premier fishing . 

Alaska offers several different types of fishing. The two most popular are salmon fishing and halibut fishing.

Alaska fishing Licenses are required by law for both residents and non-residents.

SEWARd is located about 125 miles south of Anchorage, about 3 hours by road.

Seward is the ninth most lucrative fisheries port in The United States, Also as a great place to do some fishing, Monster Halibut weighing over 300 pounds are caught each year in Seward waters and the town hosts the popular Seward Silver Salmon Derby held each year in mid August.
